Thanks CBDB I had to join together all the resistance bands I've got to complete the exercise! 😂 I've got some much longer bands on order and they should arrive tomorrow 😃👍

They will always come in handy, I’m sure. In our household we have now 3 different sets. One with these plastic loops, one with handled bands, and my son has a set of super fancy luxury set, which was a birthday present. (And he actually uses them … and lets me use them once in a while as well 🤣🤣)
Oh dear - I only have a short band.... what do I need to join in with these challenges CBDB?! Maybe today I will use a couple of baked bean tins to give some sort of resistance!😅
yes, I think this one is similar to a dumbbell (or small weights) one. I have read of people who use silk stockings in place of resistance bands, or inner bicycle tubes.
Think baked beans not enough! Doing with bag of sugar!!

🤣🤣 or increase repetitions. And make sure the movement is slow and controlled (without momentum). By the time you come to the end of the repetitions you tend to feel the weight. 😊💪👍🏽👏👏
there might be more of us who need to adapt. Physios do tend to have cheap bands by the meter, but I don’t know where you would get bands by the meter if you do not have access to a physio just now.
Possible alternatives I’ve read about:
- stockings
- expanders
- inner tube of bicycle (but not sure it stretches that far)
Well I sort of did it, 5 with both arms and the remaining ones with just the right as I'm having a lot of of problems with my left shoulder at the moment.I also have a mix of the short circular brands but luckily my Pilates band is nice and long
I tried it but the first band I used "snapped" inside the covering so now has no tension. I tried the next one up (weight/tension wise) but it is very short so not really doable. I then used the plain rubber bands - think it like the ones physio cut down to any size - but it wasnt really doing it. Too short, not enough tension etc etc. Lets see what the exercise tomorrow is and if I can do them with the set I have.
Anyone with suggestions for a good set of bands would appreciate details.

Bummer.
I got mine I think from an Aldi offer but have bought stuff from Decathlon before. So pic attached as Amazon and a Decathlon offer.
There might be cheaper ones around, I think I paid only 5 Pounds (GBP) but I do think this was an Aldi offer.
Hope you find something that works.

Thank you i didn't have the right band but put one of my longer stretchy ones around my thighs and sat in the chair and could do the shoulder thing from there yes I did it... ❤️...
I used a red TheraBand (medium strength) and it sort of worked! At least the band didn't snap 🤣. I might have to go to a store tomorrow and see if I can get some of those bands you posted above... And I also did the exercise with the 1 kg dumbbells I have 😎
I was actually humming and hawing between the stack52 version of dumbbells vs resistance bands. But we had the latter in the family already. Great stuff, loads of movements are very similar or even the same.
Nice one. Yeah, and the repetitions ensure you are still getting a good workout. I’m always amazed by the 10th rep how much more difficult it feels compared to the 1st rep!
